Plumpton College in East Sussex is delighted to announce that HRH, The Duchess of Cornwall has agreed to become the Patron of the Plumpton College Charitable Foundation.
The Foundation supports students in financial hardship at the College increasingly, with the support of charitable grants and donations and wishes to expand its support for student activities.
Dedicated to rural and environmental education, Plumpton College educates more than 3,500 students every year on a very wide range of courses up to postgraduate level. Particular pride is taken in the success achieved in motivating disaffected young people and enabling disabled adults to access courses and achieve their ambitions.
Mr Des Lambert, Principal, Plumpton College, said, ?The exceptional vocational learning and practical training that we provide creates the best possible environment to enable every student to realise their fullest potential. We are delighted that Her Royal Highness has taken such an interest in the College, as it recognises the tremendous achievements of the students and the dedication of the staff?.
Professor Fred Maillardet, Honorary President of the College and Chairman of the Plumpton College Charitable Foundation added, ?We are delighted that Her Royal Highness has become Patron. Her support of the College and its charitable activities will enable us to do much more to improve the facilities for the students and to reach those who might not otherwise be able to attend the College?.
The Charity looks forward to welcoming Her Royal Highness on her first visit to the College.
