COUNTRY LIFESTYLE BRAND OPENS FIRST STORE IN BRISTOL
Leading country lifestyle brand SCATS Town & Country is set to open its first store in Bristol, the 20th store within its portfolio located across the South.
Due to open this autumn, the rural retailer will be located on Eastgate Road adjacent to the Eastgate Retail Park. Being just off of Junction 2 of the M32 the location provides great accessibility from both the city centre and the surrounding countryside.
The 1.2 acre site will feature 6,000 sq ft of shop floor space stocking everything from stylish country clothing, including top name brands like Barbour and Joules to animal feed, pet food and health products, garden products and equestrian essentials. A large yard area will showcase timber, fencing and garden requisites including outdoor furniture, planters and pots.
SCATS Town and Country has made a significant investment in the site in order to transform the former car show room into a one stop shop for town and rural dwellers. The country life brand has already recruited 15 full and part time staff including experienced Store Manager Mike Challinor who will head up the team.
SCATS Town & Country Store Manager Mike Challinor said, ?I?ve worked for SCATS Town & Country for over 5 years and this is our first store in an urban fringe environment which is really exciting. Our customer research shows that there is a demand for our product range and services in the Bristol area and we can?t wait to open up and welcome customers in.
Over the last few years it?s been apparent that more and more people are interested in a country lifestyle whether it?s growing herbs in a window box, keeping an allotment or perhaps raising a few chickens. We stock everything for anyone who loves the outdoors from pet owners and horse riders to seasoned farmers and we pride ourselves on having knowledgeable staff that can advise customers.?
SCATS Town and Country is committed to providing a one stop shop for all aspiring country dwellers stocking everything you need to live life outdoors.
Alun Johnson, SCATS Town & Country Head of Retail Sales & Marketing said, ?This is a fantastic site which has allowed us to introduce the brand and retail offer to customers in and around Bristol. The store design aims to create a welcoming and fresh environment with clear, colour coded designated category areas for easy customer navigation.?
Building works have started on site, with the store due to open in September 2010.
